Okay, I just had to put these up! Was feeding Kaeden his breakfast today. The doctor said that we need to feed him more babyfood than we are, so several bottles will be replaced, and this morning was hilarious. Kaeden usually grips the front of the highchair tray and pulls himself forward with his mouth hanging open in anticipation of the next bite. Today, apparently I wasn't feeding him fast enough, so he decided to try and take over...

6 month update...
Wow! I can't believe that 6 months have already gone by - it seems like only yesterday I was at the hospital holding my brand new baby and now he's almost a toddler!
So, things about Kaeden at 6 months:
1. Loves green beans! Hates peas!
2. Smiling at Momma is his favorite thing
3. Would rather stand than anything, just can't balance on his own yet...
4. Still not sleeping through the night (ugh)
5. Is very talkative, loves to squeal in delight at everything
6. Loves bathtime - would be a total waterbaby if he could sit upright on his own
7. Weighs 21 lbs and is 27 1/2 inches long

Hoppy Easter Everyone!!
Wow! What a busy week -so much going on. It was Spring Break here in Vegas-Teacher-World, as well as Easter Week. I was so excited to be able to stay home for a full week with my baby - it was so hard to go back to work today! We had a blast - just playing and hanging out. He's such a happy guy.
We spent a lot of time getting together with some other families from our church to do Easter activities. Mostly they were spiritual, to remember the true meaning of the holiday. We read the scriptures about Christ's last week before the Crucifixion, held a Passover dinner and learned about all the symbology of the food served, and acted out the parables from the Bible with the little kids while the big kids went to the Temple. Kaeden enjoyed most of it - he liked to watch all the kids running around and playing with him.
Kevin had mentioned that he liked to dye Easter eggs, so I bought 2 dozen and we did our best to color them. Kaeden was more interested in the eggs themselves than in actually dying...
Sunday was a great day at church - lots of musical numbers and great discussions in Sacrament Meeting and Sunday School. After church we all headed down to the Bellagio Conservatory to see what they had set up for Easter in the garden.
Kaeden loved to look at all the colors, and all the people. He was fascinated by everything. It was hard to get him to look at the camera, he was so busy looking around. It was a lot of fun to see him so engrossed in it all.
I was sad to see it all end and have to go back to work this morning - felt like going back to work right after I had him. But, only 38 more school days left and I'm with him for 3 whole months!! Can't wait!

Kaeden's First Foods
So we've started feeding Kaeden 'real' food. It's been a bit of a struggle, he didn't much like the rice cereal (putting it in the bottle to help them sleep through the night is pure bunk!!) and he gagged it down. Oatmeal he liked better, so I've been buying that. Then we started on the jar foods - butternut squash was interesting. Got more on his bib than down his throat. But once he hit the green beans...
